Section 1
Scope

This document contains policies specific to the Citation Latitude (CE-680) type rating program. These supplement and are subordinate to the Apex Jet Academy Master Policies & Procedures (policies-jet.html). Where this document and the master policy address the same topic, the more restrictive provision governs.

Section 2
Program-Specific Policies
Enrollment Prerequisites & Verification
All prerequisites must be verified by the Apex Director of Training before the program deposit is accepted. Logbook verification conducted in person or via digital submission (ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot export accepted). The Director may grant a waiver for documented equivalent experience — waivers are documented in writing.
Pre-Course eLearning
The Apex Citation Latitude remote eLearning pre-course must be completed with 80% or higher on all module assessments before campus arrival. Students who have not completed the pre-course will not begin the campus ground school on the scheduled first day. The program timeline does not extend for incomplete pre-course work.
Scheduling & Deposit
Program deposit: 25% of the $70,000 total cost ($17,500) due to secure a program date. Rescheduling 14+ days before: no charge. 7–13 days: $1,500 fee. Under 7 days or no-show: deposit forfeited. Medical cancellation with documentation: full deposit credit within 12 months.
Weather Minimums — Aircraft Phase
Session 1 requires VMC (ceiling 3,000 ft / 5 SM at KFXE). Subsequent sessions may be conducted in IMC (ceiling 800 ft / 2 SM) at TCE's determination. No aircraft phase within 30 NM of any convective activity. Weather cancellations rescheduled at no charge.
ITAR Compliance
All non-U.S. persons must complete ITAR pre-enrollment screening before the training record is opened. Contact itar@apexjetacademy.com. ITAR screening adds no cost but may add lead time before training can begin.
Post-Completion Currency
Annual 14 CFR 61.58 proficiency check required. Apex recurrent: $31,000 — includes 17 hours Level D FFS and 4 hours actual Citation Latitude flight time. Currency lapse under 6 months: 61.58 check only. 6–18 months: full recurrent required. Over 18 months: Director of Training review.
Section 3
ITAR Compliance

Non-U.S. persons must complete ITAR pre-enrollment screening before the training record is opened. Contact itar@apexjetacademy.com. Misrepresentation of nationality or immigration status in ITAR screening is a federal crime — up to $1,000,000 per violation and 20 years imprisonment under 22 CFR Parts 120–130.
