Section 1
Scope

This document contains policies specific to the PC-24 (PC-24) type rating program. These supplement and are subordinate to the Apex Jet Academy Master Policies & Procedures (policies-jet.html). Where this document and the master policy address the same topic, the more restrictive provision governs.

Section 2
Program-Specific Policies
Turboprop Transition Credit
Pilots with 100+ hours of PC-12 NGX PIC time may apply for a 5-hour reduction in the FFS syllabus (FFS hours reduced to 20) based on demonstrated systems familiarity. This credit requires written application to the Apex Director of Training at least 30 days before the program start date and is granted at the Director's discretion upon review of logbook documentation. The aircraft phase hours are not reduced regardless of prior PC-12 experience.
Rough Field Operations Coverage
The rough field operations module is not merely academic. Students in the PC-24 program are expected to complete the FFS LOFT scenario involving a destination requiring unpaved runway assessment. Students who cannot demonstrate satisfactory rough field decision-making during the LOFT will receive additional ground instruction and a supplemental FFS session (billed at standard FFS rates) before the practical test is scheduled.
Weather Minimums — Aircraft Phase
Same as CJ4 Gen2. No aircraft phase session at any field below published paved runway minimums. KFXE is always used for aircraft phase training — Apex does not conduct PC-24 rough field operations in the aircraft phase.
Currency
Annual 61.58 required. Apex recurrent $20,000. Lapse over 6 months: full recurrent.
Section 3
ITAR Compliance

Non-U.S. persons must complete ITAR pre-enrollment screening before the training record is opened. Contact itar@apexjetacademy.com. Misrepresentation of nationality or immigration status in ITAR screening is a federal crime — up to $1,000,000 per violation and 20 years imprisonment under 22 CFR Parts 120–130.
